Ninth grade is a transition year where students are adjusting to balancing both an arts and academic curriculum. In addition, students are learning how to manage the independence of a boarding school life. Therefore, students take four instead of five academic courses (math, social studies, world language, and English). In addition, students will take Movement/Wellness (PE)/Life Skills in order to meet physical education requirements and to learn about health life styles, good choices, self- care, and sex education.
IF YOU ARE AN ESL STUDENT YOU DO NOT NEED TO FILL OUT THIS FORM. YOUR COURSES WILL BE ASSIGNED FOR YOU.
This upcoming academic year, all students are invited to participate in a Global Arts, Action, and Social Entrepreneurship path. The following is a description:
Distinction in Global Arts, Action, and Social Entrepreneurship
This program is designed for students who want to make a difference and will support students in applying their art to world issues. Students will need to meet certain requirements, such as engaging in community activities and attending meetings. Successful completion of the program will give students a special distinction on their transcript. Check this box if you are interested in being a part of the program.
mathLAB: Student paced individualized math classes including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II using the Knowre Math online learning platform. Math Lab allows students to move quickly through our required curriculum or to work more slowly than a traditional classroom setting depending on the student’s needs and goals. Classes meet in person and online and include ample opportunity for one on one instruction and tutoring.
