The Creative Technology Program at Idyllwild Arts Academy
- Expose students to laser-cutting, CNC machining, 3D printing and scanning in our Computer Design for Artists class
- Teach students programming fundamentals and give them the tools for making generative or interactive art in our Introduction to Computer Science class
- Encourage inter-disciplinary artwork and collaboration between all departments, both arts and academic
- Support large student projects for junior and senior shows and AEL projects
- Support faculty who would like to incorporate technology into their teaching or artwork
What We Do
Give students and faculty at Idyllwild Arts the opportunity to integrate software and current 3D modeling and production technology into their artwork. Classes offered as part of the Creative Technology program seek to blur the line between arts and academics and encourage students to make connections between math, science, and their respective art forms.
