Our annual Piano Fest concert features performances from all Idyllwild Arts classical piano majors and includes solos, duets, and piano concertos reflecting numerous styles and periods in celebration of this incredible 88-key instrument.

This year’s performance is dedicated in loving memory to Dr. Douglas Ashcraft, who worked at Idyllwild Arts for over 30 years in a range of roles including piano faculty, Dean of Arts, and Head of School. Doug passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 and will forever live on in the hearts of the many students, colleagues, family members, and friends who knew and loved him deeply.

This very special performance, directed by Dr. Jeanette Louise Yaryan, honors his profound impact on our community and will feature several pieces by one of Dr. Ashcraft’s favorite composers. Performers include:
