Idyllwild Arts is thrilled to announce the second and final Senior Capstone Show of the academic year, titled “Scatter”. Scatter is more than just a title—it is a powerful metaphor for the transformative nature of art. To scatter is to break, to disrupt, and to rebuild. It is a process of deconstruction and renewal, reflecting the ways in which these young artists have challenged conventions, pushed boundaries, and redefined their creative voices. The name Scatter also speaks to the collective impact of their work, as each piece contributes to a larger mosaic of personal experiences, perspectives, and visions.
This group show is a celebration of individuality and unity. Each senior brings their unique story, medium, and artistic approach to the exhibition. The works on display are as diverse as the artists themselves. Yet, together, they form a cohesive narrative—a testament to the power of collaboration and shared purpose. The title Scatter captures the essence of this moment in our students’ lives. It reflects the breaking of old boundaries and the creation of something entirely new. These seniors have poured their hearts and souls into their work, and this show is a celebration of their growth, resilience, and vision.
The Senior Capstone Show is a hallmark of the Idyllwild Arts experience, marking the culmination of years of dedication, experimentation, and artistic exploration. For the seniors, it is an opportunity to share their voices with the world and to leave a lasting legacy at Idyllwild Arts. For the audience, it is a chance to witness the birth of new artistic horizons and to be inspired by the bold, innovative spirit of these emerging creators.
Scatter is not just an exhibition—it is a statement, a transformation, and a celebration of the power of art to break barriers and bring people together.
