Rendon Ramsey was a continuous core Theatre faculty member at Idyllwild Arts from 2006 to 2021. During that 15- year span Rendon taught many different courses and directed multiple Mainstage productions and Labs. In addition, Rendon co-created and co-chaired “Two-Headed Monster: Writing and Performing for the Stage” with Abbie Bosworth for the IAA summer program. After a brief hiatus and a move to Seattle, Rendon is thrilled to be back teaching the incredible emerging theatre artists of IAA through the magic of online instruction. A director and award -winning actor, Rendon has worked from Seattle to Los Angeles and surrounding areas for 25+years. He holds an MFA in Acting (California Institute of the Arts), an AA in Acting (American Academy of Dramatic Arts), and a BA in Speech Communication (University of Washington). Rendon lives in Seattle with his wife, Katy, and daughter, Olivia.
