Playwriting, Poetry, and Puppets

Overview

In this class, students eager to explore a variety of artforms will work alongside an award-winning director and playwright to craft their own theatrical adaptations of classic books, fables, and poems. They will learn techniques and secrets of writing a performable script for a theater and puppet production. Students will also spend time analyzing and creating poems, sonnets, lyrics, and haikus, and will have a chance to collaborate and perform select pieces at the final presentation.
