Phillip Moore
Phillip Moore is a seasoned performer who is excited to bring his multifaceted artistic talents to his role as a College Counselor at Idyllwild Arts Academy. An enthusiast of Sondheim, Phillip has honed his own craft through regional choral and solo cabaret performances throughout the southeastern United States and Southern California. Holding a Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Psychology from California State University Long Beach, Phillip has over a decade of experience guiding young artists toward their academic and creative goals. His background as a working artist, combined with his expertise in performance psychology, allows him to deeply connect with and support Idyllwild’s diverse student body. Phillip works closely with students to enhance their performance skills, helping them manage stage anxiety, build confidence, and develop mental resilience essential for success in the arts. Beyond his work in college counseling and performance psychology, Phillip is committed to fostering an inclusive environment within the Idyllwild Arts community, where everyone feels a strong sense of belonging. As a Kinesiology Social Justice Committee member at California State University Long Beach, he has developed valuable skills in addressing cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that celebrate the transformative power of art.
