Children's Dance Auxiliary

3 – 7

Immerse your child in the art of dance with weekly ballet classes. This is a student-led program, created through the Expop Challenge and has been developed over several months with mentorship from Harvard professionals. Whether your child has danced before or is stepping into the studio for the very first time, our goal is to build confidence, coordination, and a genuine love for movement in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Ballet Intensive

12 – 17*

This intensive is designed for serious ballet students who wish to fully immerse themselves in ballet for a week, improving technique and receiving coaching throughout. The session will conclude with a culmination performance in which each student will have the opportunity to perform a classical or contemporary ballet solo.

The Joy of Art

10 – 13*

This week-long program is designed to introduce students to new, bold, and unconventional ways of creating three-dimensional art. Young artists will discover the joy of making one-of-a-kind designs, exploring their creativity through texture, form, and imagination.

Junior Dance Intensive

10-13*

Focus on the fundamentals of becoming a complete dancer without the pressure of an audition! Immerse yourself in the art of dance with daily classes in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre Dance, and Choreography. This program is for students with at least 1-2 years of dance experience, but who do not feel ready for an auditioned program.

Note: Students aged 12-17 with additional experience should look at our more advanced Dance Intensive workshop, which does require an audition.

Photography for Junior Artists

10 – 13*

Get a hands-on introduction to the technical and creative foundations of  black-and-white photography. Using a pinhole camera, 35mm camera, and large-format 4×5 camera, you’ll learn how to control exposure through aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. You’ll shoot on black-and-white film, process it by hand using traditional chemical methods, and produce gelatin silver prints in the darkroom. Along the way, you’ll develop a working knowledge of light metering, depth of field, and contrast control.
