Jorja Garcia is a Chicano artist from Oxnard, California. They have a wide range of interests from digital documentary photography, painting, drawing, laser cutting, zine-making, and overall mixed media that collapse conceptions of home, chaos, and everyday queerness. Jorja especially loves working on brown paper bags and cardboard. They got their B.A. in Visual Arts from Columbia University in the City of New York in 2026. Jorja also loves to go on bike rides along the beach, traveling across the U.S. by Amtrak train, and a good sub sandwich. At Idyllwild they are an AEL Intern with the InterArts Department, specifically working in the Creative Technology Lab.
