Rebecca knows the college application process is like snowflakes – no two are the same. As Director of College Counseling at Idyllwild Arts Academy, she oversees a four year post-high school holistic college counseling program that guides students and parents through the entire application process including: establishing goals and values, researching, applying, financial aid, and commitment decisions. In a former life, Rebecca was a documentary photographer who has published and exhibited both nationally and internationally. She began her journey in education at Hampshire College with a BA in Visual Anthropology and International Relations and then an MFA in Photography and Cross-Curricular Education from the California Institute of the Arts. Over the course of her career Rebecca has supported students both in and out of the classroom by creating an early intervention comprehensive college counseling program for high achieving students grades 6-12 to aid them in matriculating to selective colleges. Rebecca is passionate about her role in helping students determine the next step on their path.
