Located at an elevation of over 5,000 feet on the western slopes of Southern California’s San Jacinto Mountains, the village of Idyllwild is renowned for its rich arts culture as well as its stunning natural beauty. The Idyllwild Arts campus is located only 2 miles from the center of town, which offers restaurants, specialty shops, art galleries, and more.
Set amid towering alpine forests, majestic mountains, and tranquil meadows, the town of Idyllwild offers a peaceful setting remote from urban distractions, yet only a short driving distance from major metropolitan areas and major airports including Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and Palm Springs.

Inspired by the Cahuilla land on which the community dwells, Idyllwild Arts embraces the sacredness of all spaces, both within and without, and allows artists to immerse themselves in their craft without constraints. On our awe-inspiring campus, dynamic facilities have been designed to foster growth, nurture innovation, and cultivate collaboration.
These facilities include well-equipped classrooms, sound-proofed private rehearsal studios, a state-of-the-art sound stage, a professional art gallery, a modern library, an inviting performance theatre, an architecturally-stunning concert hall, and an iconic outdoor amphitheatre.
Students enjoy dormitories with full ensuite bathrooms and comfortable common areas with sofas, pool tables, flat screen TVs, fireplaces, kitchens, and scenic views. For meals, students gather in the large dining hall with an adjacent coffee shop. The Health Center, Wellness Center, student store, and administration buildings are easily accessible via scenic walking trails and roads.
