Crafting with the Crafty Chica
Birchard Writing Center
This special, free, and family-friendly public program is hosted and presented by the Native American Arts Center at Idyllwild Arts. This year, daily from 11:00am – 6:00pm from June 9-13, we welcome the community to drop into the Birchard building on the Idyllwild Arts Campus to enjoy getting crafty with award-winning artist and crafting extraordinaire, Kathy Cano-Murillo (a.k.a. The Crafty Chica). This public program is important to the Native American Arts Center, which believes that art access should be provided for all. As you craft with Kathy, learn more about the Native American Arts Center and its work within communities!
Kathy Cano-Murillo is an artist of all trades. She is the designer of the Crafty Chica product line, the author of several craft books and a novel, a nationally syndicated columnist, and a jewelry designer featured in Target.
