Join Leah Scott (Dramatic Arts ’27) for a performance of her original play, “Comorbidity,” which tells the story of a teenage girl named Edith with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Her OCD is personified onstage as an intrusive presence that constantly interferes with her thoughts and actions. The play takes place over a single day, showing the ups and downs of daily life. It is a story of acceptance, but not submission, and of learning that her OCD does not have to define her identity or control her future. “Comorbidity” is about the ongoing effort it takes to live with mental illness, and the importance of hope, understanding, and human connection.

This event is presented by Arts Enterprise Laboratory and supported by Idyllwild Arts Academy alumni Mara Wilson (Dramatic Arts ’05) and Mike Barnett (Film & Digital Media ’05).
