Hemyu’mu’kotsat: Honoring Indigenous Jazz Matriarchs – Indigenous female Jazz musicians have been prolific, trailblazing figures in the genre since its infancy, yet are often overlooked within the pages of history. After nearly two decades working in clubs and concert halls, one jazz vocalist from Indian Country makes it her mission to honor the mighty Indigenous women who came before her. Join us for a night of music, stories, and celebration with Indigenous jazz vocalist and bandleader Julia Keefe (Nez Perce) and her fantastic cast of musicians in this jazz jam meets one-woman show.
