Please join Idyllwild Arts Dance major Joseph Crimson for their live show built around songs from their upcoming debut album!

The performance is a multidisciplinary work combining dance, live singing, and acting to original music. It explores self-expression, desire, rebellion, and artistic freedom, confronting external judgment and celebrating the reclamation of personal power. The piece centers on identity, confidence, and the refusal to be diminished, embracing excess, fantasy, and individuality as sources of strength.

The concept follows a porcelain-doll character who is gradually shattered by figures representing different traumas, then transforms into a divine, non-human being symbolizing self-discovery.

This collaboration fully realizes an ambitious, conceptual vision that explores Joseph’s personal journey with dance and identity while fostering cross-departmental creativity at Idyllwild Arts.

This event is sponsored by the Arts Enterprise Laboratory.
