Please join the Idyllwild Arts Fashion Department for their Spring Show, themed “4.54 Billion Years.” Doors open at 6:30 P.M.  

4.54 billion years the Earth has been breathing, memory of the future, hope for the past.

Time flows, life rises, fades, and returns to its beginning once more.

The present disappears like shooting stars,

barely glimpsed before it vanishes.

The past grows endlessly, dissolving quietly behind us, 

while the future takes its first inhale, 

shaping what comes next.

All seems ephemeral, 

yet even the fleeting gathers: 

a stone worn to sand, a grain sinking to the ocean’s deepest depths, 

only to rise again as vapor, soaring higher than Mt. Everest.

Before life and after life, the world endures,

a whisper of permanence within an ever-changing sky.

This show features a poetry reading by Melissa Severa, and dance by Deborah DiSante.
