Andrew grew up in a farming family in the Yorkshire countryside in Northern England. After gaining an Honors Degree in English from the University of Sussex, he renovated historic buildings in Yorkshire and London, and also became a well known antique car dealer. After getting involved in low budget independent film making, he ended up at Idyllwild Arts, joining the Creative Writing and dorm teams. After studying in Summer Intensives at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, Andrew then also joined the Dramatic Arts Department, where he now teaches audio acting and drama. Andrew gained his Masters with Distinction in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Hull in 2019. In 2023 he joined InterArts as Faculty, where he currently teaches poetry and fiction, and Genres of Creative Writing.
