I am Jeremiah Drought, an educator who has embraced the rich tapestry of China for the past 12 years. My teaching journey began in the historical city of Zhengzhou, Henan, where I spent three formative years before embarking on an exciting chapter in Shenzhen, Guangdong. For the past nine years, I have had the privilege of nurturing young minds in this vibrant city.

Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of teaching a diverse range of subjects to students in grades 7 to 12. From the enchanting world of Literature to the captivating realms of Ancient and Modern History, I have also delved into advanced courses such as AP World History and AP Psychology. Additionally, I have shared my knowledge in Asian History, US History, Human Geography, Economics, Government, and even the art of Publications.

Beyond the classroom, I have served as an informal college counselor, guiding students on their path to higher education. Witnessing their growth and helping them navigate this important journey has been incredibly fulfilling.

My own educational background includes a M.Ed from DePaul University, which has equipped me with the pedagogical tools to inspire and engage students. Furthermore, I hold a BA from Loyola University Chicago, where I majored in Political Science and History, with minors in International & Asian Studies. These qualifications have enriched my understanding and allowed me to bring a global perspective to my teaching.
