This week-long day program empowers young artists to continue their creative journeys by exploring visual art, movement, and drama through creative play and structured activities. Children may come for multiple weeks and gain new discoveries each session.
*This is a Kids program and will follow those guidelines outlined in our FAQ section.

Students will learn how to work cooperatively and collaborate in both visual and theater arts. Personal expression will evolve as students become confident in a variety of art forms and learn new skills for creative expression. Parents are welcome to stay the first morning until Morning Sing is over.
Idyllwild is an ideal vacation area offering hiking, shopping, many restaurants, and quaint motels and cabins. You can book a vacation for yourself and give your child the gift of the Artist Discovery Program. Children may come for multiple weeks and gain new discoveries each session.
In the event of low enrollment in any given week, it’s possible that Multi-Arts (Ages 5-7) and Artist Discovery (Ages 8-10) classes will be combined.
The Artist Discovery program is open-admission. Instructors will work with your child at their level. Your child will improve and learn new skills, regardless of their level of experience.
-A refillable water bottle with your child’s name clearly marked
-Comfortable clothes that can get messy
-Sturdy closed-toed shoes
Before you arrive:
-Apply sunscreen
-Apply bug repellent, repellent stickers or bracelet
Please mark all belongings with your child’s name.
Phones or other electronic devices are not allowed in Kids programs. Please do not send a device with your child.
Your student will be following this basic schedule each day:
Drop off students at Children’s Center between 8:15 – 8:25 am
8:30 am: Morning Sing/Greeting
9:00 am – 11:20 am: Morning Classes (snack provided)
11:30 am – 12:15 pm: Lunch in the Dining Hall
12:30 pm – 3:45 pm: Afternoon Classes (snack provided)
Pick up from Children’s Center at 4:00 pm
Students will be allowed to use the pool on Tuesday – Friday from 4:00 – 5:45 pm with the supervision of a parent or guardian. (Enrolled children only, please. No siblings or friends.) Lifeguards will be present.
Artist Discovery culminations are every Friday at 3:30 pm, immediately following the Multi-Arts performance. Parents and families are encouraged to attend. Students are free to go home with their parents when it is finished.

This two-week program builds English proficiency through creative work and collaborative projects. Students strengthen their language skills in small classes with individualized attention, opportunities for self-expression, and general connection through the arts. Mornings focus on English in use; afternoons invite students to apply their knowledge through visual and performing arts, discussion and reflection. *This is a Teen program and will follow those guidelines outlined in our FAQ section.
