Jazz Combos at The Merc

The Idyllwild Arts Jazz Combos will be performing at The Merc in Temecula, CA at 7:30pm on Thursday, October 24th. Three student combos, working under the guidance and direction of Alex McLaughlin and Dr. Marshall Hawkins, will perform repertoire that reflects a traditional approach paired with an artistic reach toward the future infused with plenty of personality. Listeners can expect to hear tunes written or commonly performed by Ellington, Chick Corea, Bill Evans, Dizzy Gillespie, and Esperanza Spalding.
