Please join the Idyllwild Arts Music Department for a music competition, inspired by American Idol and The Voice! This event will be hosted by American Idol finalist and Idyllwild Arts alum Casey Abrams. Our esteemed judges include:

  • Idyllwild Arts President Pamela Jordan
  • Legendary Jazz Bassist and Educator Marshall Hawkins
  • Grammy® Award-Winning Artist John Daversa
  • Grammy® Award-Winning Pianist and Professor Nadia Shapchenko
  • Singer-Songwriter & Vocal Coach Danielle Todd
  • Record Producer and Country Artist Grady James

This competition is open to all students in the Music Department, with two rounds and multiple categories that will compete in the final round for a $1000 Grand Prize. This year the performance is not just about technical execution, but also about the performance itself, stage presence, collaboration, creativity, and most importantly, interaction with the audience! One student will take home the Audience Choice award, so come cheer on our bright talent!

This event is funded by the Arts Enterprise Laboratory.
