Alicia Serling is a dynamic and accomplished artist whose work bridges the realms of fine art, curatorial practice, and arts education. With a career rooted in a deep passion for the arts, Alicia has consistently demonstrated a commitment to creative expression, community engagement, and innovative educational practices. Alicia’s artistic journey began in her formative years. During high school, she served as a teaching assistant at various arts organizations and within her school, sharing her enthusiasm for creativity with others. She also dedicated six years to the Baldwin Theater in Royal Oak, Michigan, where she held multiple student positions in their youth theater group, honing her collaboration, leadership, and artistic production skills.

Alicia pursued her formal education at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011 with a concentration in Curatorial Studies. Her academic journey continued at Otis College of Art and Design, where she achieved a Master of Fine Arts in 2021. Throughout her studies, Alicia distinguished herself through her participation in solo and group exhibitions across the United States, as well as through the receipt of numerous academic and artistic awards. Alicia’s work is deeply informed by her belief in the power of interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly the integration of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) in education. This passion led her to serve as the Arts Education Director at the Tuolumne County Arts Alliance (TCAA) in Sonora, California, where she developed and implemented programs that fostered creativity and innovation among students of all ages.

Alicia Serling continues to inspire through her art, her dedication to arts education, and her unwavering commitment to fostering creativity in others. Her work stands as a testament to the transformative power of the arts and their ability to connect, educate, and inspire communities.
