Please join us for the final Orchestra concert of the year highlighting our prestigious Concerto Competition, where our talented student finalists will have the opportunity to publicly perform with a full orchestra (including visiting professional musicians) before a distinguished panel of judges including Idyllwild Arts Foundation President, Pamela Jordan! This competition is the only one of its kind offered at the high school level in the United States. This year’s student finalists are:
Kaylee An (voice), performing Opera arias by Puccini and Handel
Hei Lok Louis Chen (clarinet), performing Weber’s Second Clarinet Concerto
Yixi Danzeng (clarinet), performing Concertino for Clarinet by Weber
Elizabeth Mullaly (songwriting), performing her original song Charcoal and Rum
Abby Regua (violin), performing Symphonie espagnol by Lalo
Katerina Sommers (piano), performing Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto
