Join us at 3:00pm for a special guest concert featuring Connor Chee, a NAMMY Award-winning pianist and composer known for combining his classical piano training with his Diné (Navajo) heritage. Chee made his Carnegie Hall debut at the age of 12 after winning a gold medal in the World Piano Competition. He is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music.
Prior to the concert at 2:00pm, join us outside the concert hall for a special reception to learn more about the newly established Native American Arts Center (NAAC). Idyllwild Arts President Pamela Jordan and Native American Arts Center Executive Director Shaliyah Ben (Diné) will share the goals and vision of the NAAC, including our commitment to providing access to arts education for Native American students!
