Unlock the world of game design in just one action-packed week! Join our High School Game Design Bootcamp and dive into the captivating realm of interactive entertainment. This intensive summer program empowers students to create their own video games using the cutting-edge Unity platform. In this hands-on course, participants will learn the fundamentals of game design, including concept development, level design, character creation, and programming using C#.
Students will discover the secrets behind crafting engaging gameplay experiences and develop problem-solving skills while navigating the exciting world of game development. Our experienced instructor will guide students through the entire game design process, from concept to a playable prototype. By the end of the week, participants will have a functional game to showcase and share with friends and family. Whether you dream of becoming a game developer or simply want to explore your creative side, this one-week summer program is your ticket to mastering Unity and bringing your game ideas to life. Join us and turn your passion for gaming into a hands-on reality!
Computer Game Design does not require any type of assessment or portfolio to get into the program. Instructors will work with your child at the level that they are at. Your child will improve and learn new skills whether they are a beginner or have been an artist for years.

Jonathon Kaufman has been teaching Game Design and 3D Animation since 2020. Jonathan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Game Art & Design from the Art Institute of California Sacramento and is currently teaching Math, Computer Game Design, and 3D Modeling at Idyllwild Arts Academy.

Shadow puppetry is an ancient art form from around the globe. This master class from professional Puppeteer Tania Yager of Twisted Heart Puppetworks, teaches participants basics of construction, lighting, and performance and explores advanced shadow play for art and theater.
The Artist Discovery program allows children, ages 8 to 10, to continue their creative journey. Visual art, music, movement, and drama will be explored through creative play and structured activities that allow for learning all that the arts has to offer. Children may come for multiple weeks and gain new discoveries each session.
